Duration: Permanent
Salary: £80-85,000k + O/T + Travel Allowances + Expenses + Excellent Benefits package
The Role:
Due to business our growth, our client is currently recruiting for a Health Safety Security and Environmental Manager for a permanent role, based from Ellesmere Port and covering oil and gas sites throughout the UK. The role will include managing, leading and developing HSSE teams across all sites, developing strategy and ensuring health safety security and environmental policies are being implemented and adhered to. Duties will include:
-Managing their own diary and work schedule and organising when and where to visit particular sites
-Ensuring all contracts and locations are effectively planned and executed with up-to-date
risk registers and HSSE Plans maintained.
-Creating, maintaining and supporting delivery of an annual HSSE improvement plan within portfolio of responsibility.
-Ensuring compliance with legal and other requirements including compliance with agreed CDM
duties.
-Recruiting, leading and developing a HSSE team
-Establishing and maintaining productive relationships with clients
-Ensuring external certifications remain operational
-Effectively participating in audit programmes
-Ensuring suppliers and contractors within portfolio are effectively evaluated and managed as per
company policy.
-Assisting the Senior HSSE Manager in providing input into tenders.
-Promoting HSSE best practices on contracts / projects and offices within portfolio of responsibility.
-Ensuring all key HSSE documents are created and maintained
-Ensuring effective investigations are undertaken in a timely manner and learning shared.
-Actively promoting safety initiatives
-Promoting and rewarding desirable safety engagement and performance.
-Creating and monitoring Emergency Response and Business Continuity Plans
-Deputising for the Senior HSSE Manager as required.
Qualifications
-NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent (essential)
-Trained and competent Internal Auditor (essential)
-RCA - Accident/incident Investigator Training, e.g. 5 Why / Helix / Taproot (essential)
-Membership of a recognised HSSE related institute i.e. IOSH, MIIRSM, IEMA etc (essential)
-ONC/HNC or equivalent in Technical, HSEQ or related industry (desirable)
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
-8+ years HSE experience, preferably with some exposure to roles with supporting multi contract/ location portfolios.
-Some experience practicing HSSE in the Oil & Gas or similar high hazard sector is preferred.
-Knowledge of HSSE standards and legal requirements.
-Experience of working with Quality and HSSE Management Systems.
-Experience leading a team is required.
-Proficient in the use of Microsoft office.
-Excellent planning and organisational skills.
-Knowledge of internal and external audits and third-party certification audit practices.
