Who we are looking for:

We are seeking a highly organised , delivery- focused Commercial Enablement Director to lead our enablement function during a maternity leave period , alongside another Strategic Project. Commercial Enablement Director . This role exists to ensure our commercial organisation ( mainly Sales , Account Management but also some related teams) has the content, communications, tools, and training they need to perform at their best every day.

The focus is on seamless execution, clear communication, and strong team leadership. You will run an established enablement roadmap, manage a small high-performing team, and maintain a smooth operating rhythm—all without needing to drive major strategic change within the cover period.

Key Responsibilities :

Team Leadership & Execution

Working alongside another Commercial Enablement Director you will Lead, coach, and support the Commercial Enablement team, ensuring clarity of priorities, accountability, and high-quality output.

With three direct reports (and their teams) you will m aintain an efficient enablement operating rhythm for BAU delivery (cadences, communications, content calendar, training schedule) – driving adoption of internal reporting tools and capabilities.

Coordinate cross-functionally with Commercial , Marketing, Product Marketing , R&C, Legal and HR to ensure clear alignment on priorities, dependencies and timely delivery and/or escalations .

Foster a collaborative team culture that emphasizes strategic thinking, creativity, and accountability.

Commercial Support & Stakeholder Engagement

Partner with frontline leaders to understand short-term enablement needs and ensure their teams are supported. Translate business objectives , process change s and product priorities into integrated plans.

Provide timely enablement support for product launches, campaigns, or quarterly priorities.

Monitor overall enablement effectiveness and report progress and insights to leadership.

Identify key narratives, messaging pillars, and positioning frameworks that will equip commercial teams to drive sales growth, improve efficiency , help the team adapt to change and foster a cohesive go-to-market strategy.

Content, Communications & Tools

Content : Oversee creation, updating, and delivery of high quality commercial content including both internal and external collateral, talk tracks, messaging, and templates .

Comms : Ensure commercial teams receive clear, concise, well-timed communications on product updates, process changes and key initiatives. Ensure alignment and integration of all internal messaging .

Tools : Maintain and optimise enablement platforms, asset libraries and tools (e.g., Seismic, Loopio ) ensuring materials are easy to find and up-to-date .

Learning: Oversee learning materials such as e-learning modules, learning paths, certifications, and coaching toolkits. Focus on timely delivery of materials for key initiatives.

Reporting: Instil best practice by tracking participation and data driven performance culture shift.

Our ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience:

Proactive , strategic thinker with a commercial focus, a hands-on approach and experience in develop ing go-forward plans for managing change and communications initiatives.

Exceptional organisational skills and the ability to deliver multiple programmes with precision and pace. Experience in enterprise level program management is highly desirable.

Vision and confidence to drive and push for excellence within a recently established team.

Comfortable working cross-functionally and influencing without friction.

Experience and understanding of the complexities in communicating to colleagues in a global, matrixed organization and a strong ability to write well, quickly and accurately, translating complex ideas into engaging content that resonate with your audiences.

Resilience and flexibility; you're a self-starter who enjoys driving simplicity into a fast p aced, high growth environment.

Strong people leadership with a track record of managing and developing teams.
