About The Job

As a Department Manager, Machine Sales, you will lead the sales strategy and execution for new construction equipment, used machines, and material handling solutions across 11 Unatrac territories in Africa. This pivotal role is responsible for driving revenue growth, expanding market share, and delivering exceptional value to our customers operating in diverse and dynamic markets.

You will also be responsible for leading and developing our UK-based Machine Sales team, consisting of three direct reports. Your leadership will be key in motivating the team, setting performance targets, and ensuring alignment with our broader commercial objectives.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the sales of
    new construction equipment, used machines, and material handling solutions
    to offshore customers operating within 11 African territories.
  • Negotiate and close sales contracts across product lines, both directly and in support of the wider sales team.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a UK-based sales team (3 direct reports), ensuring high performance and continuous improvement.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, and international buying offices to identify opportunities, influence specifications, and promote Unatrac's product portfolio.
  • Expand market coverage through strategic deployment of the sales team and cost-effective channels such as internal sales representatives.
  • Collaborate closely with the
    Machines Centre of Excellence
    in Cairo on pricing strategies, supplier engagement, market intelligence, product positioning, and tender support.
  • Monitor competitor activity, pricing, and commercial terms, and ensure timely updates in the
    CRM system
    .
  • Coordinate with other business divisions to align on strategy and share insights on potential opportunities.
  • Provide regular sales activity reports and pipeline updates to the Managing Director and Centre of Excellence using CRM and other reporting tools.
  • Perform additional duties as required to support business objectives.

Experience & Background

  • Proven track record of
