We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Gardener to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a passion for horticulture and a strong background with qualifications in gardening practices. This role involves maintaining and enhancing outdoor spaces, ensuring they are healthy, vibrant, and aesthetically pleasing. The ideal candidate will have a full knowledge of the gardening year and be able to forward plan the tasks for the team and direct them to be successful. The Gardener will work with various tools and equipment to cultivate plants, manage landscapes, and implement irrigation systems. The candidate will have a clean driving licence.
Duties
- Utilise hand tools and battery operated power tools effectively for planting, pruning, and maintaining gardens.
- Implement and manage irrigation systems to ensure optimal water supply for plants.
- Conduct regular landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, weeding, mulching, and fertilising.
- Monitor plant health and growth, identifying any issues related to pests or diseases.
- Assist in the layout of garden spaces to enhance visual appeal.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of gardening equipment and work areas.
- Collaborate with team members to achieve gardening goals and project deadlines.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in gardening or horticulture is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with landscape maintenance practices and techniques.
- Knowledge of plant care requirements including watering, feeding, and pest management.
- Ability to operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently.
- natural attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Excellent physical stamina as the role requires speed and agility along with prolonged periods of standing, bending, and lifting.
