The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining a clean, organised, and efficient kitchen, ensuring high standards of hygiene and safety are upheld at all times.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs and kitchen staff
  • Wash, clean, and sanitise dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas in accordance with health and safety regulations
  • Support the organisation of ingredients and supplies to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Dispose of waste responsibly and ensure recycling procedures are followed
  • Help with restocking supplies and ensuring the kitchen is well-equipped for service periods
  • Follow all hygiene standards and health & safety guidelines diligently

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; full training will be provided
  • Familiarity with food preparation, cooking processes, or culinary environments is desirable
  • Experience working in a busy kitchen setting or serving roles can be beneficial
