The Role
This is a dynamic and pivotal role for a highly motivated and independent individual eager to become an Xfuze "super user" capable of delivering end-to-end, data-driven solutions for our clients.
This is a key role for us and our future Implementation Engineer will be instrumental in shaping and delivering impactful outcomes for our customers. You'll work with our clients from initial requirements gathering, perform in-depth business analysis to complex data integration, configure the platform and develop custom functions. You'll directly contribute to client success by leveraging your strong communication, analytical, and technical skills.
Our future Implementation Engineer will likely have a background in insight analysis, software development, BI, data engineering, or a related field and will be passionate about solving complex problems.
Key Responsibilities
As an Xfuze Super-User, you will configure, extend, deploy, test, and validate complete end-to-end solutions for our customers, including:
Data Analysis & Validation - Analyse, explore, test, and validate data while engaging with clients to understand data structures and use cases.
Connector Configuration - Set up and configure connectors (e.g., Shopify, Akeneo, Bloomreach, Optimove).
Workflow & Transformation Setup - Build and configure Xfuze workflows and data transformations.
Functions & Plugins - Configure existing functions or develop new plugins.
Canonical Data Models (XDM) - Configure, extend, and map data using the Xfuze portal, Jsonata, or code-based plugins.
Data Hubs - Set up domain-specific Xfuze data hubs, including data mapping components.
Data Quality Dashboards - Build and maintain Xfuze data quality dashboards.
Pipelines & Architecture - Design and configure data pipelines, warehouse/lake tables, and views using Databricks, other tooling, and the medallion architecture.

Business Intelligence Dashboards - Create, extend, and configure Power BI dashboards leveraging Xfuze data layers.
Testing & Quality Assurance - Conduct rigorous testing and validation of solutions.
Business Process Analysis - Collaborate with clients to analyse data-driven business processes and verify the underlying data.
Documentation & Training - Produce user guides, technical documentation, and training materials.
Platform Advisory - Advise clients on best practices to maximise the value of the Xfuze platform and achieve desired outcomes.
Your Knowledge & Experience
Leadership - Independent, self-motivated, and results-oriented; able to drive initiatives to completion.
Communication - Exceptional written and verbal skills; confident presenting to clients.
Business Analysis - Skilled in capturing requirements, analysing use cases, and translating them into practical solutions.
Domain Knowledge - Retail experience preferred; must possess expertise in at least one complex domain.
Data Modelling & Transformation - Strong knowledge of data modelling with the ability to design complex models.
Integration & Data Warehousing - Hands-on experience configuring platforms to deliver complete customer solutions.
Programming & Software Engineering - Competent in Python or similar languages for writing functions and plugins (not at expert level).
BI & Dashboarding - Proficient in Power BI or similar tools, or able to learn quickly.
Databases & SQL - Advanced SQL skills required.
Technical Understanding - Solid grasp of modern architectures and leading data platforms, ideally including Databricks and Spark (user-level experience).
Cloud - Proficient with at least one cloud environment.
Industry Experience - Prior work with a systems integrator, consultancy, or professional services organisation delivering solutions for clients is highly advantageous.
