Job Summary

The Commercial Co-ordinator (Reservations) is responsible for managing individual and group room reservations efficiently and accurately while delivering excellent customer service. This role serves as a key point of contact for guests, travel agents, and corporate clients, ensuring a smooth booking experience while maximizing hotel occupancy and revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all reservation inquiries for individual and group bookings via phone, email, online platforms, and in person
  • Accurately create, modify, and cancel reservations in the property management system (PMS)
  • Manage group room blocks, allocations, cut-off dates, and rooming lists
  • Coordinate group bookings with Sales, Front Office, and Housekeeping to ensure accurate inventory and smooth arrivals
  • Prepare and send group confirmations, contracts, and pre-arrival details as required
  • Provide detailed information on room types, rates, packages, and hotel amenities
  • Upsell rooms, packages, and additional services to maximize revenue
  • Ensure all guest and group booking details, billing instructions, and special requests are recorded correctly
  • Monitor availability and rates to optimize occupancy and yield
  • Resolve guest and group-related inquiries or concerns in a professional and timely manner
  • Follow hotel policies, procedures, and rate guidelines
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest and company information at all times

Skills & Qualifications

  • Previous experience in hotel reservations, group bookings, front office, or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly with group room blocks
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency with hotel reservation systems and basic computer applications
  • Sales-focused mindset with strong upselling skills
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude

Education & Experience

  • Hospitality or tourism qualification is an advantage
  • Shift work, including public holidays

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: £26,500.00 per year
