  • Attend meetings with stakeholders - to discuss proposed management measures, including explaining NatureScot advice, listening and responding to stakeholder views.

  • Provide casework advice on the management of existing MPAs including achieving conservation objectives.

  • Work with communications, engagement and other staff to promote and disseminate information about NatureScot's MPA work.

  • Undertake MPA reporting and assessment tasks to inform future development of NatureScot's work and achievement of a well-managed network of MPAs.

  • Attend NatureScot internal meetings and contributing to the wider work of the Activity Team, as required.

Skills: (Please refer to these in your Supporting Statement)

  • A good understanding of marine biology, habitats and species relevant to Scotland's seas and issues (pressures / activities) relating to their conservation, with a focus on benthic ecology.
