What You'll Be Doing

As a Physics Teacher, whether you're an ECT or an experienced Physics Teacher, your role will involve:

  • Teaching Physics across Key Stages 3 and 4, ensuring students develop both an understanding of the subject and a passion for learning.

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated Physics lessons tailored to a wide range of abilities and learning styles.

  • Leading practical experiments that demonstrate how Physics concepts apply to the real world, sparking curiosity in students.

  • Using data to assess and track student progress, ensuring Physics attainment is raised and students are continually challenged.

  • Contributing to the ongoing development and improvement of the Physics curriculum to keep it innovative and engaging.

  • Supporting extra-curricular activities, such as science clubs and student-led projects, to help students extend their interest in Physics beyond the classroom.

What We're Looking For

We are looking for a Physics Teacher who:

  • Holds Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in Physics or a closely related subject.

  • Has experience teaching Physics to students aged 11–16, whether as an ECT or an experienced Physics Teacher.

  • Is skilled in planning and delivering high-quality, engaging Physics lessons that inspire students and develop their love for the subject.

  • Has a proactive and reflective approach to professional development and is committed to growing as a Physics Teacher.

  • Is enthusiastic about helping students reach their full potential in Physics and beyond.

  • Works well as part of a team and contributes positively to the ethos and community of the school.
