We are Prontaprint, a well-established and fast-paced printing company in Milton Keynes, known for our commitment to quality and quick turnaround. We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Trainee Print Production Operative to join our team.

This is a fantastic, hands-on opportunity for a highly motivated individual to kick-start a career in digital printing and production. We provide comprehensive, structured training from file processing right through to final delivery.

The Opportunity: Learn the Trade

We are looking for potential, not just prior experience. You will be fully trained in all aspects of print production, including:

  • Digital Press Operation: Learning the setup, operation, and routine maintenance of modern digital print machinery (e.g., Xerox, Canon, or similar).
  • Print Finishing: Hands-on training in essential finishing techniques, including using the guilotine, creasing, folding, binding (wiro/comb), and laminating.
  • Workflow Management: Understanding how to prioritise urgent jobs, manage print queues, and maintain high standards of quality control.

We Are Looking For:

  • Computer Literacy: High proficiency in using computer systems, managing digital files, and learning new software quickly.
  • Attitude is Key: A strong 'Can-Do' and proactive attitude with a genuine enthusiasm for learning a trade.
  • Highly Organised: A methodical and detail-oriented approach to tasks, with a commitment to maintaining a clean and safe workspace.
  • Team Player: Able to work well within a fast-paced environment and support the production team.
  • Logistics Requirement: A full, clean UK Driving Licence is essential for performing local deliveries in a small company van (full training on loading/unloading will be provided).
  • Physical Ability: Must be physically able to handle printing materials, stock, and load/unload the vehicle.
