Mapped Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a boutique SME luxury beauty brand (circa £5m TO) on their search for a Head of Finance/Finance Manager to join their small but well-established team, with one store and e-commerce channel.

This position is the number one role in the Finance department, reporting directly to the General Manager and working closely alongside the senior leadership team and external accounting firm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Reporting to the GM, supervising 2 x junior team members
  • Own the end-to-end month-end and year-end processes
  • Oversee statutory accounts, audit processes, tax filings, and all regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain and improve internal controls, policies, and accounting standards
  • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly reforecasting process
  • Provide commercial insight to drive margin improvement, pricing strategy, and cost optimisation.
  • Partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations to assess ROI of campaigns, NPD, and channel expansion.
  • Ensure full utilisation and accuracy of systems (NetSuite, Shopify, POS, etc.)
  • Ad hoc team duties to ensure departmental KPIs are achieved.
  • Assist in system projects and integrations to improve and maintain company efficiencies.

Key Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years of experience within a similar finance role and mentoring small, high-performing finance teams.
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA), ideally, but also open to equivalent qualified by experience candidates
  • Successful candidates must have worked within a
    consumer product-driven environment - SME retail business (store/e-commerce industry experience will be required)
  • Experience in Shopify, NetSuite (or similar ERP), and e-commerce reporting is advantageous
  • Experience within a similar finance role and mentoring small, high-performing finance teams.
  • Passion for brand, beauty, and entrepreneurial environments.

This role is based in a commutable central London area and requires ideally 2 days working in the office and 3 days working from home.
