Job Overview

We are seeking an electrical Estimator/junior Estimator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out takes off using count fire software , draft a detailed tender BOQ , source quotes as required to price the project and issue to company director for final review.

The role will lead into a cradle to grave pre construction role , carrying out the required hand overs on secured works from pre-con to construction teams .

Duties

  • Analyse project plans, specifications, and drawings to determine scope of work and required resources
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and subcontractor services
  • Collaborate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing and lead times
  • Assist in bid preparation and submission processes, ensuring accuracy and compliance with client requirements
  • Conduct cost control analysis throughout project lifecycle to identify potential savings or overruns
  • Maintain organised records of all estimates, quotations, and related documentation for future reference
  • Support the procurement team by providing accurate cost data to aid in negotiations
  • Costing of site variations as required

Skills

  • Electrical experience in estimating or good understanding of the electrical trade and what is required to carry out works .
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Understands excel
  • Effective communication skills to liaise with suppliers, clients, and internal teams
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £40,000.00-£50,000.00 per year
