We are seeking a Nursery Practitioner with an interest in personal development and enthusiasm for providing the best possible care and experiences for children as well as a desire to learn and grow with an expanding company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Sharing in the responsibility for safeguarding and promoting the welfare of all children in the nursery.
- Ensuring daily domestic routines are completed in the nursery, maintaining high standards to ensure the environment is safe, secure and clean at all times.
- Helping to prepare meals and snacks
- Planning and implementation of appropriate programmes of activities for the children, helping children with their learning, play, educational and social development.
- Ensuring all record keeping on the child's development is in-line with the Nursery policies, and to respect the confidentiality of information received.
- Liaising with parents and encouraging their involvement in the aims of the nursery and in all aspects of their child / children's care.
- Helping children with feeding, changing clothes, toileting etc.
- Ensuring each child is collected in accordance with the collection procedures.
- Contributing to the team effort.
- Liaising with all employees, children, Parents and Families to ensure the above tasks are completed effectively.
Other Responsibilities:
- Be self-motivated
- Ability to adapt as circumstances require
- Have excellent communication and time-management skills
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, stakeholders, and the general public.
- Knowledge and understanding of Safeguarding & Child Protection
- To work with other professionals in the local area for the benefit of children and families
- Be a team player
Qualifications & Requirements
- Full and relevant Childcare Qualification (NNEB/CACHE, BTEC or NVQ) Level 3 or above
- Sound knowledge of child protection and safeguarding
- Ability to deliver a high standard of childcare
- Excellent planning, organising and time management skills
- Ability to build trust and strong working relationships with children, families, your team and the local community
- We will be offering Forest School Activities so an interest in Forest School and willingness to learn would be an advantage.

Schedule
- 20 hours - 8am until 6pm, 4 days per week between Monday to Friday
