Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and dynamic Sales Assistant to join our team at our Plant Hire Depot in Horncastle. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our sales operations and enhancing customer satisfaction. This position requires strong communication skills, organisational abilities, and a knack for upselling products. As a Sales Assistant, you will interact with customers, manage inquiries, and assist in the smooth running of trade activities. The right candidate will familiarise themselves with all of our products from brands such as, TuffStuff, Regatta, Xpert, Dassy, Snickers. As well as our tool/hire range of products.

Our ideal candidate would be able to manage orders and control stocking levels of our clothing products. They would also need to be familar with DTF printing and embroidering garments, we will provide full training on our machines.

Hours

Monday: 8:00am - 17:00pm

Tuesday: 8:00am - 17:00pm

Saturday: 8:00am - 14:00pm

* Hours and days can be negotiated - We would also be willing to make this a full time position upon discussion *

Duties

  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions.
  • Assist in selling products and services while effectively upselling where appropriate.
  • Manage phone inquiries with professionalism and excellent phone etiquette.
  • Maintain an organised workspace to ensure efficient operations.
  • Utilise basic maths skills for processing transactions and handling cash.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and customers, ensuring clarity and understanding.
  • Support inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting discrepancies.
  • Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues on various tasks.
  • Housekeeping, keeping the shop looking presentable for customers as well as facing up stock.
  • Being able to be flexible inside of the workplace and slot into many different roles inside of the business to ensure smooth day to day operations.

Requirements

  • Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Excellent organisational skills to maintain order in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions accurately.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and confidently with diverse customers.
  • Previous experience in the clothing industry/sales or customer service is advantageous but not essential.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning and adapting to new challenges within the trade sector.
