Drylining and Joinery Estimator

Enviro Furniture, a bespoke joinery company in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, seeks a skilled Joinery Estimator for projects (£5k-£2m). You'll prepare accurate cost estimates, work with clients and teams, and drive success in a full-time, office-based role. Ideal for proactive, team-oriented individuals with joinery expertise.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse project requirements and prepare detailed, competitive and timely cost estimates for bespoke joinery packages, ensuring all aspects are accurately priced.
• Work on projects valued between £5k and £2m
• Engage in client-facing discussions, addressing inquiries, and building strong relationships.
• Collaborate closely with designers, project managers, and sales teams to align estimates with project specifications, budgets, and client expectations.
• Source and negotiate competitive pricing with suppliers for materials and fixtures.
• Monitor project costs, conduct feasibility studies, and ensure accurate cost control and reporting.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of estimates, proposals, and quotations.
• Stay informed on industry trends, pricing, and innovations to enhance estimation accuracy and competitiveness.
• Ensure all estimates comply with company standards, industry regulations, and quality requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to streamline processes and improve efficiency.

Key Requirements

• UK based
• Minimum of 3 years' experience as an estimator, ideally within bespoke joinery, furniture design, or a related field.
• Proven track record of pricing and securing bespoke joinery projects ranging from £5k to £2m.
• Strong understanding of joinery manufacturing principles, materials, and fitting.
• Proficiency with estimating software and spreadsheets, paired with excellent numerical and analytical skills.
• Proactive, solution-focused mindset with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to handle complex calculations.
• Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a client-facing approach.
• Local to Hitchin or able to drive to our office with ease.
• A collaborative team player who can also work independently while aligning with company goals.

• Competitive salary of £45,000+ per annum (based on experience).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: £28,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
