We're looking for a friendly, confident person to join our security team at Purfleet Truck Wash.

The details:

  • £14.00 per hour (self-employed)
  • Monday–Thursday, 12:00–22:00 & Saturday 07:00 – 19:00
  • Opportunity to cover holidays
  • Role: Greeting drivers, directing them to bays, and helping them feel welcome
  • Address: Purfleet Truck Park, Hedley Avenue, Grays, Essex, RM20 4EL

Duties

  • Greet truck drivers in a polite manor and check them in for overnight parking
  • Patrol and monitor premises regularly to maintain a safe and secure environment
  • Protect property and assets by maintaining a visible presence and deterring illegal or inappropriate actions
  • Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to identify potential security threats
  • Respond to alarms and investigate disturbances
  • Conduct security checks of doors, windows, and gates to ensure they are properly secured
  • Enforce access control procedures and verify the identity of individuals entering or exiting the premises
  • Write detailed incident reports and maintain accurate logs of daily activities

Skills

  • Must be knowledgeable with computers
  • Strong observation skills and attention to detail
  • Knowledge of first aid procedures and ability to respond effectively in emergency situations
  • Proficient in the use of surveillance equipment, including CCTV systems
  • Familiarity with loss prevention techniques and ability to identify potential risks or vulnerabilities
