38.5 hours per week on a 2 days on / 4 days off shift pattern

About the Role:

We are seeking compassionate
Therapeutic Parents
to provide nurturing, trauma-informed care for children aged 4-11 in our small, family-style residential home. You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, supporting children's emotional, social, and developmental needs through personalised care plans.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality therapeutic care in a safe, structured home environment.
  • Build trusting relationships with children using attachment-informed approaches (PACE model).
  • Support children with daily routines, education, hobbies, and enrichment activities.
  • Work with social workers, therapists, and teachers to implement care plans.
  • Maintain accurate records, risk assessments, and care documentation.
  • Participate in reflective practice and ongoing professional development.
  • Administer medication, maintain home budgeting, and ensure safety at all times.

About You:

  • Experience working with children, ideally with social, emotional, or mental health needs.
  • Committed to trauma-informed, child-centred care.
  • Resilient, calm under pressure, and a strong team player.
  • Flexible to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • Over 21 years old with a valid driving licence.

Desirable:

  • Qualifications in residential childcare.
  • Experience with therapeutic models (DDP, PACE).
  • Knowledge of SEMH, attachment, autism, or ADHD.
