Employment Type: Part-time / fixed term for 6-months (we welcome requests for specific hours or days of working)

Location: Head Office, Newark

Salary & Additional Benefits: Up to £17.95 / hour

Role Purpose:

The Finance & Payroll Assistant will be responsible for payroll processing (including pensions), commission calculations, and the preparation of bank payments. This role is critical to the smooth day-to-day running of the finance function and ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely reporting.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage end-to-end monthly payroll for all staff, ensuring strict compliance with all statutory and pension regulations.
  • Accurately calculate and process sales commissions based on agreed schemes.
  • Handle all aspects of bank payment preparation (payroll, suppliers, expenses) via BACS/CHAPS.
  • Act as the main point of contact for employee payroll/pension queries and support finance audits.

Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

  • Prior experience in payroll processing and finance administration.
  • Knowledge of UK payroll legislation and pension auto-enrolment.
  • AAT qualification or working toward ACCA/CIMA.
  • Expert user of MS Excel and relevant payroll software.
  • A reputation for being highly accurate, deadline-driven, and confidential.
