Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated A-Level Chemistry Tutor to support a student in strengthening their understanding and achieving their academic goals. The successful candidate must be qualified in Chemistry and have prior experience teaching A-Level content. This role involves delivering customised tutoring sessions, providing clear explanations of complex topics, and helping the student build confidence in exam-style problem-solving. This is a paid position and is ideal for someone passionate about education and experienced in supporting learners at this level.

Duties

  • Design and deliver personalised tutoring sessions to prepare students for specific tests, including practice questions and exam strategies.
  • Assess individual student needs and develop customised lesson plans to address areas requiring improvement.
  • Monitor student progress regularly and adjust teaching methods accordingly to optimise results.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents regarding performance and areas for development.
  • Foster a supportive learning environment that encourages confidence, motivation, and engagement.
  • Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, attendance, and progress reports.
  • Stay informed about current testing formats, standards, and best practices in test preparation.

Experience

  • Proven experience in tutoring or teaching A-Level Chemistry, with a strong understanding of exam boards, core topics, and assessment requirements.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £13.00-£15.00 per hour
