The Role
The Registry Services Specialist will help Product Managers create robust, valuable and deliverable user stories for our Registry Services Platform. Furthermore, they will be used as an industry expert by the wider Product team to help guide product ideation, design and creation by adding context and deep understanding of our customer needs.
Collaboration will be key in this role. The Registry Services Specialist will be the expert in the intricacies behind our Registry products and assist the Customer, Success, Account Management and Sales Teams in understanding the value we are delivering and the best way to promote our products and services
What You'll Be Doing
- Work with the sales and account management teams to handle any technical presales requirements
- Be an authority if assistance is needed regarding client technical resolution management
- Contribute necessary knowledge to account management and commercial teams so they have an adequate technical understanding of our products and services
- Ensure that the Nominet RSP product continues to be compliant by translating compliance requirements into deliverable user stories
- Contribute to registry policy development for the benefit of the overall business
- Update and inform the wider business of industry policy issues that affect the delivery of the product
- Work with QA to assist in the appropriate testing/automation coverage for Registry Products
- Feed into training plans and education of Nominet's Sales, Marketing and Customer Success teams on the products
- Be the product expert within the business, and act as an "industry expert", assisting team members with wider context where required
- Feed into roadmap prioritisation, ensuring ideas are challenged, and proposing additions and alternatives where required
- Mentoring Product colleagues and assisting with onboarding of new team members
- Represent the business interests as required during the Incident Management process
About You
- Have a strong interest in ICANN policy
- Strong level of understanding of the changing landscape for large data holders
- Resourceful and capable of remaining calm and decisive under pressure
- Ability to create and drive work on your own as well as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to build strong colleague and customer relationships
- Strong planning and organisational abilities
- Ability to listen to others and take on board their advice and requests and deliver a solution to meet their needs
- Ability to evangelise about our products
- Work with internal and external partners to develop our RSP product offering
- Be credible in your understanding of our stakeholders', business pains and objectives
- Be a leading example of co-operation and collaboration across the business
