Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Cafe/Deli Assistant to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service while assisting with daily cafe operations. This position is perfect for individuals who enjoy working in a customer focused environment.

Duties

  • Greet customers warmly ensuring a friendly atmosphere at all times.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of food and drink items, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the cafe
  • Assist with inventory management by restocking supplies as needed and reporting low stock levels.
  • Handle cash transactions efficiently and accurately, following the cafe's cash handling procedures.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods.
  • Address customer enquiries and complaints promptly to enhance customer satisfaction.

Skills

  • Excellent communication skills with a friendly demeanor to engage effectively with customers.
  • Strong organisational abilities to maintain a tidy workspace and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Previous experience in a cafe or hospitality setting is preferred
