We're looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and reliable Front of House Staff Member to join our popular, independent local cafe in the heart of Malone, based in the gorgeous Malone House at Barnett Demesne

What the Role Involves:

As a key member of our team, you'll be the friendly face of our cafe, responsible for creating a welcoming environment for all our customers. Your main duties will include:

  • Taking customer orders accurately and handling transactions.
  • Serving food and drinks efficiently and with a smile.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised, and tidy cafe environment.
  • Supporting kitchen staff during busy periods.
  • Assisting with stock rotation and receiving deliveries.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven Experience: At least 1-2 years of experience in a fast-paced cafe, restaurant, or hospitality environment.
  • Customer Service Excellence: A genuinely friendly, warm, and professional attitude with a knack for anticipating customer needs.
  • Reliability: Excellent timekeeping and a strong work ethic.
  • Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with colleagues.
  • Barista Skills (Preferred): Experience operating an espresso machine and confidently making a range of specialty coffees is a significant advantage.

  • Supervisory Roles: For the right candidate, this could develop into a Shift Supervisor position, involving key-holding, cashing up, and leading a small team.
  • Event Management: We often host private events and are looking for someone who could take on an active role in organising, promoting, and running these events.
