Overview

We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Community Care Workers to provide high-quality support and assistance to individuals within their homes and care facilities. This role involves delivering personalised care to enhance the well-being and independence of clients, including elderly individuals, those with chronic illnesses, or those recovering from illness or surgery, learning disabilities . The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, a home environments, and possess a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives. All positions are paid, and offer opportunities for professional growth within the care sector.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver personalised patient care, including assistance with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility support
  • Assist with medication administration in accordance with prescribed guidelines
  • Support clients with meal preparation and nutritional needs
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to minimise feelings of loneliness or isolation
  • Manage behaviour effectively, especially in clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease
  • Assist with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Support clients with mobility and transfer needs, including heavy lifting when necessary
  • Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required
  • Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including first aid procedures when necessary

Skills

  • Experience in assisted living in home care environments
  • Knowledge of dementia, Alzheimer's care, and behaviour management strategies
  • Strong caregiving skills with a focus on patient safety and comfort
  • Ability to administer medication accurately and safely
  • Excellent communication skills for engaging with clients, families, and healthcare teams
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and assist with mobility needs
  • Competence in meal preparation tailored to individual dietary requirements
  • Valid driving licence for client transportation purposes
  • First aid certification is desirable but not essential; training can be provided for suitable candidates
  • Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to support vulnerable individuals in their daily lives

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent

Pay: £24,420.00-£38,732.70 per year

Expected hours: 1 – 40 per week
