We're looking for an experienced and creative Independent SEO Specialist to help us strengthen our online presence, increase visibility, and ensure our digital platforms reflect the same level of excellence as our in-person experience.

Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable SEO professional to manage and enhance our online search visibility. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of search engine optimisation principles, digital marketing trends, and website performance analytics.

This role requires someone who can work independently to audit, strategise, and implement effective SEO practices across our website and online platforms, while aligning with our brand's premium aesthetic and tone.

You will work closely with our management and creative teams to optimize content, track keyword performance, and recommend strategies to drive traffic and engagement.

This position involves working from TRIBES one day per week (8 hours) to collaborate with the team, understand our brand culture, and ensure all digital efforts remain authentic to our fitness ethos.

Required qualifications:

  • Demonstrable experience in SEO, content optimisation, or digital marketing.

  • Strong understanding of on-page and off-page SEO techniques.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Degree or formal qualification in marketing, digital media, or a related field.

  • Experience in fitness, wellness, or hospitality industries.

Skills:

  • Analytical Thinking: Ability to interpret website data, keyword trends, and performance reports.

  • Content Optimisation: Skilled at improving copy and metadata for higher visibility.

  • Technical SEO: Understanding of website structure, page speed, and mobile optimisation.

  • Communication: Ability to clearly present findings and strategies to non-technical team members.

  • Adaptability: Keeping up with changing SEO algorithms and digital marketing trends.

  • Creativity: Finding new ways to enhance organic reach while maintaining brand voice.

  • Time Management: Organising projects and meeting deadlines independently.

  • Attention to Detail: Ensuring all web content meets SEO and quality standards.

  • Team Collaboration: Working effectively with internal teams (marketing, design, management).

  • Proactive Initiative: Suggesting improvements and new strategies for growth.

  • Passion for Fitness: A genuine enthusiasm for health, fitness, and wellness, aligning with TRIBES' core values.

Experience:

The ideal candidate will have proven experience managing SEO for websites, ideally within lifestyle, wellness, or creative industries. They should be comfortable performing audits, implementing best practices, and reporting results independently.

Salary range:

£13.15 per hour (London Living Wage)

1 day per week (8 hours), working from TRIBES Fitness, St John's Wood
