About The Role

Role: - Support Worker - Wakefield

Pay Rates: - £ £15.69 per hour (including holiday pay)

Pay Rates (not including holiday pay): - £ £14 per hour

Location: - Wakefield, Mirfield, Normanton and Castleford

Shifts: - Days and Nights and Sleep Shifts

Support Worker - Responsibilities will include:
  • Assist Support adults with daily living tasks, such as cooking, cleaning, and personal care.
  • Encourage independence by helping individuals make choices and develop life skills.
  • Assist with attending appointments, activities, and community events.
  • Respond calmly and professionally to challenging behaviour, using de-escalation techniques and following behaviour support plans.
  • Monitor and promote physical and emotional well-being, reporting any concerns to senior staff.
  • Maintain accurate records and communicate effectively with the care team and families.

Essential requirements:
  • 2 satisfactory, professional references
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Minimum of 6 months experience as a Support Worker
  • PMVA and MAPA training (desirable)
