About the Role:
- As an Architectural Technician, you will support project delivery from early design development through to on-site execution. Your role will be hands-on and varied, including:
- Producing detailed design and technical drawing packages in AutoCAD
- Preparing planning, building regulation and construction documents
- Ensuring compliance with UK Building Regulations, planning protocols and CDM/H&S requirements
- Undertaking site inspections, liaising with contractors, and resolving technical queries
- Supporting senior staff across multiple RIBA stages from feasibility through to completion
- Coordinating with clients, engineers, planning authorities and wider project stakeholders
About You:
- We're looking for a technically strong, proactive professional who enjoys full project involvement. Ideally, you will bring:
- Proven UK experience as an Architectural Technician/Technologist (approx. 8+ years)
- Advanced AutoCAD skills plus competency in 3D modelling/presentation tools (SketchUp, Adobe Suite etc.)
- Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations, construction methods and CDM regulations
- Confidence in site visits, contractor coordination and solving technical issues
- Excellent communication, organisation and attention to detail
- Relevant qualification in Architecture, Architectural Technology or Construction (HNC/HND/Degree)
- CIAT membership or eligibility (desired)
- Full right to work in the UK and a valid UK driving licence
