United Utilities, United Kingdom MWH Treatment Full time £30,000 - £60,000 per year


MWH have now been awarded Projects at Dukinfield, Aston-Under-Lyne, Arnfield, Godley, Hyde and Wigan and Skelmersdale across the AMP8 Framework Agreement with United Utilities. We are looking to strengthen our Construction and Project delivery teams with General Forman assigned to £1-£10M projects or sections.

Reporting to the Construction Manager or Senior GF, you will manage their site team, responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution and control of all construction operations on a project or designated area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Be an expert in a discipline Civils, Mechanical, Electrical or Commissioning but also have an appreciation of all disciplines.
  • Responsible and accountable for all non-working supervision, site activities on their project or allocated area.
  • Both directly employed or provided by the supply chain. All skill sets need to be assessed and allocated accordingly.
  • Ensure all subcontractors are managed, supervised and are aligned to our expectations and standards.
  • Supervise direct labour requirements. Support compliance and performance delivery as required.
  • Assist Senior Project staff in any investigations and reports. Fact findings, lessons learnt, agree and implement any changes.
  • If qualified, act a Temporary Work Supervisor to ensure are planned, managed, supervised and reviewed accordingly.
  • If qualified, act as lift supervisor ensuring all lifting operations are supervised and executed according.


About You

Essential:


• Extensive experience in the construction industry across multiple projects.


• Experience of non-working supervision and expert in a background discipline, Civils, Mechanical, Electrical or Commissioning but also have a clear understanding of all disciplines.


• Excellent oral communication skills


• Relevant Supervision CSCS card or similar


• SSSTS Managing Safety or similar.

Desirable

 
• Experience in water and wastewater treatment plants.


• Lifting Supervisor CPSC 


• Confined spare (medium/high risk).


• CITB Temporary Works Supervisor or similar.
