Our client, a well-known organisation in the creative media industry, is seeking a
People Coordinator & Payroll Specialist
to join their HR function for a 12–14 month maternity cover. The role sits within a small, friendly team and works closely with the Head of HR and HR Business Partner, offering a balance of payroll responsibility and generalist HR support.
What you'll be doing
- Be a key contact for day-to-day HR queries, providing timely and accurate support.
- Oversee the monthly payroll process with an outsourced provider, ensuring everything runs smoothly and errors are quickly identified.
- Build relationships with pension and benefits providers, managing renewals and day-to-day queries.
- Compile regular HR and payroll reports for the group HQ in Paris, including reconciliations across multiple entities.
- Support the employee journey from onboarding and probation reviews through to offboarding, ensuring all documentation and compliance is in order.
- Maintain HR data and trackers with a strong focus on accuracy, using Excel on a daily basis.
- Get involved in wider HR projects such as DEI initiatives, internal communications, training coordination, and employee engagement activities.
What we're looking for
- At least 3 years' experience in a combined HR and payroll role.
- Strong track record of working with payroll
- Comfortable handling data-heavy work and confident using Excel to manage trackers and reports.
- Detail-focused, organised, and confident identifying and resolving payroll anomalies.
- Previous exposure to multi-entity or international organisations would be an advantage.
- A team player who is approachable, people-focused, and able to stay calm under pressure.

- Fixed-term contract for 12–14 months, starting
1st December 2025
. - Hybrid working model (typically 2–3 days in the office, with Wednesdays and Thursdays required).
- Salary
