Position Description
Business Analyst – Digital Transformation

At CGI, we empower our clients to reimagine public services through digital innovation that delivers measurable impact. As a Business Analyst on a major Northern Ireland public sector transformation programme, you'll shape smarter, more efficient digital solutions that improve services for citizens and drive real organisational change. You'll work within a multidisciplinary Agile team where collaboration, ownership, and creativity are at the heart of everything we do — helping translate business needs into transformative solutions that make a lasting difference.

CGI was recognised in the Sunday Times Best Places to Work List 2025 and has been named a UK 'Best Employer' by the Financial Times. We offer a competitive salary, excellent pension, private healthcare, plus a share scheme (3.5% + 3.5% matching) which makes you a CGI Partner not just an employee. We are committed to inclusivity, building a genuinely diverse community of tech talent and inspiring everyone to pursue careers in our sector, including our Armed Forces, and are proud to hold a Gold Award in recognition of our support of the Armed Forces Corporate Covenant. Join us and you'll be part of an open, friendly community of experts. We'll train and support you in taking your career wherever you want it to go.

Due to the secure nature of the programme, you will need to hold UK Security Clearance or be eligible to go through this clearance. This is a hybrid position.

Your Future Duties And Responsibilities
In this role, you will take the lead in analysing, defining, and documenting business and data requirements that underpin a major digital transformation across the public sector. Working closely with Product Owners, data specialists, and technical delivery teams, you will ensure each solution delivers tangible value and aligns with strategic goals. You will play a key role in stakeholder engagement, shaping user stories, and supporting the design of practical, user-centred digital services that drive long-term improvement.

Key Responsibilities
Analyse & Define: Capture, document, and validate business and data requirements to inform solution design.

Collaborate & Deliver: Work with Product Owners and Agile teams to refine JIRA user stories and support sprint delivery.

Engage & Facilitate: Lead workshops, interviews, and feedback sessions to align stakeholders and clarify needs.

Design & Validate: Translate business requirements into structured specifications and support data model analysis.

Optimise & Improve: Apply Agile analysis techniques to promote continuous improvement and high-quality outcomes.

Assure & Support: Contribute to peer reviews and maintain consistent, traceable analysis artefacts.

Required Qualifications To Be Successful In This Role
To succeed in this role, you'll bring a blend of analytical expertise, stakeholder management skills, and practical Agile experience. You'll be confident working across business and technical domains, translating complex needs into actionable insights and solutions that deliver real impact.

Essential Qualifications And Experience
Proven experience in business and data analysis within digital transformation projects.

Strong ability to elicit, document, and manage requirements using structured techniques.

Skilled in facilitating workshops and engaging diverse stakeholder groups.

Experience with Agile methodologies and tools such as Jira and Confluence.

Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail.
