Overview

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to lead our bar team and ensure an exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality, with a focus on food preparation, culinary skills, and team management. As Bar Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing bar operations, maintaining high standards of service, and fostering a positive atmosphere for both staff and patrons.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily bar operations, ensuring efficient service and adherence to quality standards.
  • Manage inventory levels, including ordering supplies and maintaining stock control.
  • Train and mentor bar staff in serving techniques, food safety practices, and customer service excellence.
  • Develop and implement creative drink menus that align with current trends while ensuring cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food production and ensure timely service of food items.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues to enhance guest satisfaction.
  • Monitor staff performance, providing feedback and conducting performance reviews as necessary.
  • Part of the F&B team so working in the restaurant as well as working for events

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry, preferably in a restaurant or hotel setting.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food preparation and production.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service and team collaboration.
  • Previous experience in supervising or managing teams is essential.
  • Culinary experience or cooking skills are highly desirable.
