We are looking for a Team and Partnership Manager to lead our Targeted Family Help (TFH) service in Charnwood. Together with the Service Managers and other Team and Partnership Managers, you will lead an inclusive service who are currently undergoing a review and have been through considerable change, it is therefore important you lead with care, compassion and enthusiasm and have a solid understanding of Targeted Family Help (TFH). This is a busy but rewarding role and you'll join a strong and supportive management team.

You will have excellent organisation and management skills to support the Charnwood team in providing a high-quality service to our children and their families.

You will be an energetic, enthusiastic and experienced manager, who is able to share your enthusiasm and passion for practice with those you manage and wider partner agencies. 

You will have extensive experience of management in children and family services and an in-depth understanding of the interventions required to build safety and protect children from requiring children's social care services – however when needed there will be no delay in children receiving statutory intervention and help. 

You will be able to evidence your skills and knowledge of creative, innovative, and relationship-based practice and demonstrate your ability to lead and manage a skilled workforce. 

You will have a strong and credible professional reputation. 

You will be confident in your supervisory skills, having significant experience in supervision, and your ability to give clear direction and drive plans forward 

Signs of Safety is the expected practice methodology and having knowledge of this and an understanding is essential.

A DBS enhanced check for a regulated activity is required for this post.

About You

To apply for this post, you must respond to and evidence the following 7 essential criteria within your personal statement

  • Significant, demonstrable experience working in targeted family services and in a multi-agency environment managing a team of multi-disciplinary staff.
  • Experience of working with a focus on performance and outcomes for children and families to ensure consistency of practice and high-quality outcomes across a large geographical area. 
  • Experience of building successful, powerful, and collaborative working relationships with peers, partners and a wide range of agencies that command respect, trust, and confidence.
  • Experience of managing a broad programme of family support services, and of buildings which host variety of in-house, and partnership activities are delivered from.
  • A successful track record of promoting and implementing change programmes, improving service quality, and creating performance cultures that drive up standards and performance. 
  • A demonstrable ability to connect with customers and localities through listening, dialogue and community's needs and evidence of how this has translated into the delivery of effective interventions for children and families.
  • A demonstrable ability to lead and deliver sustainable, collective high-performance through inspirational leadership of people, setting clear priorities and a strong approach to performance management. 

You must also have an understanding of, and commitment to, equality, diversity and inclusion.
