- decisions are made quickly, ideas are heard, and collaboration with senior leaders is part of daily life. You will work directly alongside the Commercial Lead, gaining exposure across the full development cycle from early concept to delivery and handover.

About the Role

You will take commercial ownership across a portfolio of new-build, high-rise schemes, leading on
pre-construction, cost planning, procurement
and supporting delivery through to completion. This is an opportunity to move beyond the traditional QS remit and become part of the wider development process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead commercial strategy and cost planning during early project stages
• Support design development and value engineering to optimise project viability
• Manage procurement and appointment of main contractors
• Oversee project budgets, reporting, and change management throughout delivery
• Collaborate closely with internal development, design, and delivery teams
• Provide commercial input across multiple schemes and help guide junior team members

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a QS within the
  PBSA or hotel sector
  (experience with both is ideal)
• Solid understanding of
  high-rise new build developments
• Strong pre-construction and cost planning background, with exposure to delivery
• Experience working on the
  client side
  or within a developer environment preferred
• Excellent commercial awareness, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ambition to progress into a broader
  Development Management
  or leadership role
