Edinburgh, Edinburgh, United Kingdom Artus Air Full time £60,000 - £80,000 per year

Quality Manager

Location:
Edinburgh or London (Hybrid working)

Play a pivotal role in shaping the quality agenda for Artus Air, a company set to transform building energy performance. This is a fresh slate opportunity to design and implement quality systems, processes and documentation from the ground up. You will need to be comfortable getting into the detail early on while also influencing strategy as we grow. Significant autonomy and a high-growth environment make this an exciting move for an experienced Quality Manager, or an accomplished Quality Engineer looking for their next step.

Who is Artus Air?

Artus Air's revolutionary air conditioning systems are engineered to optimise performance, reduce energy consumption and lower carbon emissions, transforming the way buildings are cooled, heated and ventilated.

With an award-winning product range and a growing customer base, we are delivering energy-efficient climate solutions for modern offices and residential spaces. We are scaling rapidly both in the UK and internationally and are now building a world-class operations function to match.

What is the purpose of the role?

The Quality Manager will take ownership of our quality agenda and lay the foundations for a best-in-class QMS. It is hands-on now but strategic in scope, shaping the systems and standards that will underpin our global growth.

What will I be doing?

Quality Systems and Documentation

  • Design and implement a Quality Management System aligned with ISO standards
  • Develop and maintain process documentation for manufacturing and internal workflows
  • Establish KPIs and lead FMEA, NCR and continuous improvement initiatives

Supplier Quality Oversight

  • Own quality relationships with manufacturing and supply chain partners
  • Conduct audits and ensure compliance with regulatory and safety standards
  • Coordinate third-party product testing and certification

Continuous Improvement

  • Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Champion lean practices and operational excellence across the business

What will I need to thrive in the role?

  • Proven experience implementing QMS and creating quality systems from scratch
  • Background in engineering or manufacturing
  • Experience in early-stage or high-growth businesses
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Willingness to travel to supplier sites and Artus offices (typically twice per month)

What are the benefits?

  • Competitive salary
  • Rapidly growing business with potential future career progression
  • Opportunity to gain experience of multiple operational functions
  • Hybrid working and flexible culture
  • A values-led, collaborative team focused on quality and impact
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Pension (company NEST scheme)
  • 3 months fully paid parental leave
