Job Description:

Spin Master is a leading global children's entertainment company, creating exceptional play experiences through it's three creative centres: Toys, Entertainment and Digital Games. With distribution in over 100 countries, Spin Master is best known for award-winning brands PAW Patrol, Bakugan, Kinetic Sand, Air Hogs, Hatchimals, Rubik's Cube and GUND, and is the global toy licensee for other popular properties.

What will you work on?
This is a hands-on, high-responsibility role that will challenge you to manage a diverse team of cross-functional peers. The Marketing Manager is responsible for the following tasks in an autonomous way:

  • Develop and manage the marketing plan for all brand across Nordic markets, including brand and product marketing strategy, product positioning, packaging strategy, creative strategy briefs, market research and consumer insights, advertising, in-store POP, public relations, licensing relations, web/internet, and targeted consumer/trade outreach and promotions.
  • Manage selected brands for leading GBU's/Brands as per Brand Management expectations
  • Work with identified agencies to deliver local plan. Brief, and project manage all aspects of the marketing activations
  • Manage the financial aspects of a portfolio of the brand, including costing and pricing, marketing budgets, SKU rationalization and profitability analysis.
  • Work closely with Distributor in the market to ensure sales are maximized and goals are achieved.
  • Identify desirable new business opportunities and market expansion potential by conducting sales and marketing competitive analysis of current and potential business. Analysis to include licensing opportunities, channels of distribution and sales targets, pricing for each class of trade, industry standard margin requirements, market definition, promotional spending requirements and consumer benefits/needs.
  • Participate in sales presentations for large retailers and provide sales tools supporting successful sell in of one or more brands.
  • Assist in management of Toy Fairs, planning and coordinating, prioritization  of brands, attendance, meetings and product selections.
  • Be a key contact for licensors and media owners in the market
  • International Marketing meetings – lead and attend for the Nordics – EMC/ Business Reviews

Responsibilities as People Manager:

How will you fit into the team?
This role manages a Brand Manager and Assistant Brand Manager.

What are your skills and experience?

  • 5-7 years of consumer product brand management experience in a new product- oriented industry, preferably working with toy, entertainment, fashion, or other pop culture products.
  • Working knowledge of a variety of marketing tactics from social, digital, in-store and consumer promotions.
  • Experience working with international brands and retail distribution channels coupled with a University or College degree in Commerce or related fields.
  • Direct experience with the full product development cycle, with a track record of thriving in a growth oriented and changing environment.
  • Experience managing multiple projects at once in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment
  • Management experience with the ability to inspire, motivate and manage direct reports - delegating and overseeing workloads and tasks
  • Exceptional written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Intermediate   to   advanced    knowledge    of   MS   Office and Photoshop,   coupled    with    excellent organizational communication skills, and customer service skills.
  • Ability to both adapt to and manage changing priorities independently in a fast paced environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with people at all levels within an international team environment.
  • Fluent in English
