Position:

This is a onshore depot based role at MREs main HQ.

The Equipment Technician will be involved in a range of activities including all maintenance, required works and assembly of generator pods to fulfil the preparation of project equipment packages. Additionally, all aspects of associated operational equipment's maintenance and lifecycle.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Process the preparation of all Project Equipment Requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain the efficiency and dispatch quality of rental generators and associated equipment.
  • Perform routine maintenance such as regular engine servicing as per manufacturers maintenance schedules and load testing.
  • Produce accurate reports on dispatched and returned equipment.
  • Carry out Pre-Delivery Tests & Inspections to the highest standard.
  • Identify and plan works in a methodical manner to meet equipment dispatch targets.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications in a Mechanical or Electrical field are required with proven experience in diesel engines and electrical systems.
  • Ability to diagnosis faults on diesel engines and associated electrical systems.
  • Ability to work on and understand standby generators from 20kVA – 200kVA.
  • Experience in maintaining and carrying out repairs of diesel engines and associated electrical systems.
  • High attention to detail with proven ability to fault find, organise and plan own workload.
  • Ability to think problems through logically individually or as part of a team.
  • A calm, professional manner with a flexible and adaptable approach to work.
  • Understanding of IT and computers for software, reports and records.
  • Relevant additional training from various manufactures may be given.
Other information:

Salary will depend on experience with 25 days holiday + bank holidays a year, pension, discount voucher scheme. Full time 38 hr week. Full training & support will be provided where necessary and appropriate.

Must have the right to work in the UK.
