Line Chef Jobs Cardiff – Join The Philharmonic Kitchen Crew

Here at The Philharmonic, you'll work alongside talented chefs to prepare fresh, quality dishes that keep Cardiff smiling, day and night. No two shifts are the same, and you'll always have the support of a fun, friendly team who want you to succeed.

Main Responsibilities – Line Chef Duties in Cardiff City Centre
  • Prepare, cook and present hot and cold menu items to our standards during busy periods.
  • Work closely with your kitchen team to ensure consistent, timely service – every plate counts
  • Assist at various kitchen stations, including grill, fry and plating.
  • Follow food hygiene and health & safety procedures to keep the kitchen sparkling and safe.
  • Monitor stock, help receive deliveries and keep waste to a minimum.
  • Support with deep cleaning and kitchen organisation during and after shifts.
  • Bring energy, team spirit, and a positive attitude to every service.
Skills & Experience – What We're Looking For in a Line Chef
  • Previous kitchen experience (line chef, kitchen assistant, commis chef or similar) is a plus, but we'll train the right person.
  • A passion for tasty, well-presented pub food and an eye for detail.
  • Flexible and reliable – our busiest times are evenings, weekends and Cardiff event days.
  • Great communication and a sense of humour in the heat of service.
  • Punctual, hardworking, and ready to muck in.
  • Food hygiene knowledge helpful (but full training is provided).

  • Starting at £12.21per hour, with regular pay reviews.
