The Role: What You'll Be Doing

As our Senior Buyer, you're the driving force behind our product selection and buying strategy. You will leverage your deep experience, ideally within eCommerce and international sourcing (especially the Far East), to deliver exceptional results.

  • Product Visionary: Strategically manage and plan the product range to ensure a balanced, commercially successful mix that anticipates and meets customer demand.

  • Global Sourcing Expert: Identify and source new product lines and suppliers globally, ensuring every piece meets our high-quality standards and design brief.

  • Relationship Builder: Cultivate and maintain strong, mutually beneficial supplier relationships, managing contracts and performing effective negotiation to secure favourable terms.

  • Profit Driver: Develop and implement effective pricing strategies to maximise profitability while maintaining our value proposition.

  • Operational Excellence: Implement sophisticated inventory management strategies in collaboration with the team to optimise stock levels, minimise costs, and ensure efficient capital use.

  • Performance Analyst: Monitor and analyse buying KPIs, using data to drive continuous improvement and make informed, data-driven decisions.

Who You Are & What You'll Bring

  • Essential Experience: Demonstrated success in a senior buying role within the furniture and homeware industry. Experience in eCommerce and international supplier management (e.g., Far East) is highly desirable.

  • True Passion: A genuine, demonstrable passion for homewares and furniture products and a deep understanding of current trends and consumer preferences.

  • Negotiation Power: A proven track record of strong negotiation, supplier management, and complex issue resolution.

  • Analytical Mindset: Highly proficient in data analysis, able to identify trends, forecast demand, and make confident decisions on product selection and pricing.

  • Driven & Organised: A highly motivated, results-oriented individual with exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
