Quality Control Operative

THE OPPORTUNITY

To support our ambitions at SBD, we are seeking a Quality Inspector to further support the Belts QC team in manufacturing market-leading strength products. Will be able to work as part of a team or autonomously and to contribute to cross-departmental collaborations. Your personality is important and finding a good cultural fit who can add value, is high on our agenda when it comes to recruitment.

Quality Inspector roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Completing all tasks assigned by management, ensuring all products are of high quality and are in line with safety processes and procedures
• Advising operational teams and colleagues on product standards and specifications
• Trimming and making amendments to items as and when needed
• Identifying and eliminating any quality problems to ensure that all requirements are met, which will include supporting with internal audits
• Ensuring that the external customers' products are to the required standard with no errors and full traceability
• Minimising and preventing the loss of sales and profit due to product recall
• Complete daily assessments of products from each production run and then communicate the results and actions of these panels to the manager, team leaders and/or appropriate worker
• As well as the above, you will have the ability to flexibly support all areas of the business where required, to ensure that service levels are consistently met.

Early finish on a Friday - this role finishes at 1pm on a Friday

HOURS: 40 hours per week (Monday - Thursday: 7am-4pm, Friday: 7am - 1pm)

SALARY: £25, 396.80

LOCATION: Unit 2b Lanchester Way, Advanced Manufacturing Park, Waverley, S60 5FX
