We're looking for dedicated Bank General Assistants to join our friendly team and support our care homes and nursing homes across the North East.

You'll play a vital role in ensuring our residents receive the very best care and comfort — stepping in to cover short-notice shifts in care, domestic, or kitchen roles as needed.

What you'll do

  • Provide compassionate care and assistance to residents (under supervision of senior staff)
  • Help serve meals, support mealtimes, and maintain high standards of hygiene in kitchen areas
  • Carry out general cleaning duties and maintain a safe, welcoming environment throughout the home
  • Work flexibly across different homes within our group depending on cover needs
  • Uphold Caring and Leading's values — caring like family and leading with excellence

About You

  • Previous experience in a care home, domestic, or kitchen environment preferred (but not essential — full training provided)
  • Flexible and reliable — happy to travel to different homes as required
  • A genuine passion for caring for older people and helping others
  • A positive team player with good communication skills

Pay: Up to £13.00 per hour
