We're looking for a proactive and detail-oriented
Programme Support Specialist
to join our dynamic team. This role is pivotal in supporting our Programme and Project community, ensuring high standards of delivery and continuous improvement across our tools, processes, and governance.
This is a hybrid role with a minimum of 2 days per week in our Central Reading office.
What you'll do:
You'll be at the heart of our project operations, helping to ensure successful delivery through structured support and insightful coordination:
- Schedule & Delivery Tracking
- Monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables to support critical path analysis and sequencing decisions.
- Financial Oversight -
Track budgets, actual spend, and forecasts to ensure alignment with governance and delivery goals. - Reporting & Governance -
Prepare and manage reporting cycles, Project Board packs, and investment submissions. - Meeting & Workshop Coordination -
Organise SteerCo sessions and workshops, prepare agendas and materials, and ensure effective follow-up. - Project Artefact Management -
Maintain key documentation including plans, forecasts, RAID logs, stakeholder maps, and SharePoint spaces. - Stakeholder Engagement -
Collaborate with internal teams, shareholders, and suppliers to support project needs and drive outcomes. - Continuous Improvement -
Contribute ideas and actions to enhance PMG processes, tools, and governance frameworks.
What you'll bring
- Experience in a project environment with strong planning and reporting capabilities
- Understanding of project financials and resource usage
- Knowledge of RAID management and stakeholder coordination
- Excellent communication, prioritisation, and multitasking skills
- A proactive, flexible, and solution-focused mindset
- Ability to work under pressure and manage escalations effectively.
Nice-to-Have
- Professional qualifications (e.g., P3O, Prince2, APMP)
- Familiarity with financial processes and project accounting
