What does this team do?

Our team helps businesses navigate complex rules and regulations, build strong ethical frameworks, and use technology to improve ways of working. We work with experts in areas like AI ethics, data privacy, and anti-bribery, and we collaborate with lawyers to offer the best solutions. We work across many industries, from tech and energy to healthcare and government, helping big companies tackle complex ethical challenges. It's a fast-paced, supportive environment with passionate people who make a real difference. Examples of our business areas include:

  • Energy, Resources & Industrials – e.g. the impact of the energy transition
  • Technology Media & Telecommunications – e.g. content regulation and the ethical use of AI

The E&RC team are a group of passionate and motivated individuals who are driven to deliver great outcomes for the organisations they work with, while also supporting each other in the team.

What skills and academic qualifications do I need?

In our Strategy, Risk and Transactions Advisory teams, we look for people who are curious and eager to learn. If you ask questions, love problem solving and you're willing to get involved, this team could be right for you.

You'll need to have obtained or be studying towards a minimum 2:1 in any degree discipline and have graduated by September 2026 for the Autumn 2026 intake.

What kind of work will I do?

We help companies build better ethics and compliance systems. This involves:

  • Designing systems so companies can follow the rules and regulations more effectively
  • Evaluating how well companies are doing in this area
  • Helping tech companies comply with new laws like the UK Online Safety Act and EU Digital Services
  • Creating processes and tools to meet current and future regulations
  • Finding ways to improve efficiency using technology.

This role will suit some who is a strong team player, enjoys problem solving and is able to understand issues across different types of industries. We're looking for individuals with a genuine interest in ethics and compliance and a passion for making a tangible difference in the business world.

Where will I work?

At Deloitte we recognise how important face-to-face interaction is for your development in a new role. We also understand that our people need flexibility, which is why we operate a hybrid system, with a combination of office and home working. If you're in a client-facing role, you might be expected to attend client sites on certain days, while your meetings will be a mix of online and in-person events. Please note your final assessment and induction will also be in-person, to give you the opportunity to network and build relationships.
