Milton Keynes, Milton Keynes, United Kingdom Red Bull Racing & Red Bull Technology Full time £60,000 - £120,000 per year

For many fans of Formula One, the sport exists between lights and chequered flag on a Sunday afternoon. It begins and ends with the exploits of the drivers on the track. But this is merely the tip of the spear. The reality of modern F1 is that of a complex and intertwined operation, every part of which needs to perform near its limit if success is to be achieved. From the pit crew searching for the ultimate repeatable pit stop, to the inspiration of the designers, the application of engineers and the herculean efforts of an army of fabricators and machinists. Much of our success is thanks to the diversity of thought and spectrum of skill sets held within the team, our ability to recognise unique contributions from individual team members is just a part of why we love what we do.

Job Description

At Red Bull Powertrains, we're building the future of Formula 1 power units — and we need driven, detail-focused individuals to help us make it happen. We're currently seeking a Programme Lead to play a vital role in driving the business to meet key milestones and objectives, and ensuring alignment between multiple business functions.

As Programme Lead, you'll own the strategic direction, governance, and execution oversight across all four of our critical RBPT Powertrains programmes. You'll be the go-to authority for program definition, delivery standards, escalation, and risk control, embedded at the heart of a world-class technical team pushing engineering limits daily.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where your ability to coordinate, communicate and stay calm under pressure will make a real difference.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define & standardise program delivery frameworks across all Red Bull Powertrains initiatives.
  • Act as first-line escalation for plan changes across engineering and event schedules.
  • Maintain and evolve the consolidated event calendar and testing roadmap, and ensure milestone alignment across all RBPT departments.
  • Oversee project cost controls, budget tracking and strategic allocation.
  • Own and manage the cross-functional program risk register, driving pre-emptive action and scenario planning.
  • Direct line management responsibility for the Programme Managers where you'll set expectations, align objectives and provide ongoing support and direction.
  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings to support performance feedback, career planning, and professional growth. You'll work with team members to create actionable development plans aligned with their personal aspirations and business needs.
  • Champion a high-performance, collaborative environment where accountability, continuous improvement and proactive problem-solving are the norm. You'll role-model resilience, adaptability, and cross-functional teamwork in a fast-moving, highly technical setting.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience delivering complex technical programs, ideally in F1, aerospace, or another fast-paced and high-performance sector.
  • Technical understanding of F1 power units, hybrid systems and manufacturing workflows.
  • Highly structured project/program manager with an instinct for risk, scope cost, and planning discipline.
  • Comfortable engaging engineers and senior leaders alike – you can translate vision into executable milestones.
  • Experienced in tools such as MS Project, ERP or MES systems to manage job data and workflow (experience with Epicor or similar is a bonus).

Who you are:

We are looking for a conscientious and methodical individual who thrives in a team environment while also being self-motivated. The ideal candidate will excel under pressure and be able to meet tight deadlines with a flexible approach to working hours. Strong communication skills are essential, as is the ability to lead, motivate, and inspire the team. This person will be proactive in investigating new technologies and pushing the technical capabilities of the department. They will collaborate closely with all operational and technical departments, driving innovation and continuous improvement.

Not only is this a fantastic Programme Lead role, but it is also a fantastic team to work with here at Red Bull Powertrains. A good salary is just the start, there are many other benefits too such as our bonus scheme, private health care cover, life assurance scheme, workplace nursery scheme, company contributed pension scheme, on site gym & fitness classes, free daily food allowance, and a cycle to work scheme; but above all, the job satisfaction doesn't get any better than the feeling of making a real contribution to our championship winning Grand Prix cars
