Housekeeping Assistant
Westerfield House Care Home is recruiting for a Housekeeping Assistant. Are you caring, dedicated and have a genuine interest in creating a happy and comfortable environment for our residents. We are looking for a Housekeeping assistant, who will be available to work part-time on a rota basis in the following areas:
Kitchen: kitchen duties includes, but is not limited to, using the dishwashing machine; washing pots and pans; basic food preparation; undertake hygiene and general kitchen duties concerned with the operation and the smooth running of the care home.
Housekeeping: ensuring any designated area within the care home are hygienically cleaned to the highest standard at all times; that all cleaning duties are carried out in an efficient and timely manner and help to create a warm and friendly atmosphere for our residents.
Laundry: ensuring our residents' clothing is laundered and ironed to the highest standards; labelling correctly new resident's clothing; putting them away tidily and ensuring wardrobes and drawers are always clean and neat.
Key Responsibilities
Ensure all health and safety rules (COSHH) are strictly adhered to.
Adhere at all times to the company policies and procedures.
Skills and Experience:
Experience of working in a care setting is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
Good team working skills are essential.
Demonstrate an ability to ensure confidentiality.
Quality and customer focus with the ability to take a pro-active approach.
Dependability, excellent attendance and time keeping record.
Flexible approach to work and days of work.
8am - 3pm shift times.
