Job Title: Social Worker – Duty and Assessment Team
Location: Lancashire
Pay Rate: £36 per hour
Job Description:
Liquid Personnel is looking for experienced and resilient Social Workers to join its client's Duty and Assessment Team based in Lancashire. This is a fast-paced role ideal for professionals who thrive in dynamic environments and are passionate about safeguarding children and supporting families at the point of referral.
Key Responsibilities:
- Undertake initial assessments and Section 47 enquiries
- Respond to referrals and complete timely risk assessments
- Liaise with families, schools, and partner agencies to gather information and coordinate support
- Make informed decisions about next steps for children and families
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case records
- Prepare reports and attend relevant meetings and court proceedings
- Ensure compliance with Social Work England standards and council policies
Requirements:
- Social Work England registration
- Degree in Social Work or equivalent
- Post-qualified experience in statutory children's services
- Full UK driving licence
- Strong assessment and communication skills
