Social Worker - Duty & Assessment team£36.00 per hourLancashire37 hours p/w, hybridAbout the role:We are looking for a Children's Social Worker to join a Duty & Assessment team in Lancashire on a temporary basis. As a social worker in a Duty and Assessment role responds to urgent concerns about a child's safety or well-being by conducting child and family assessments, making immediate safety plans, and collaborating with other professionals to ensure the child is protected and linked to appropriate, longer-term support if needed. Key duties include:Carrying out Section 47 and Section 17 enquiriesCreating robust care plansPreparing for and participating in formal case reviewsMaintaining strong professional relationships with children, families, and partner agencies to deliver effective safeguarding and welfare services.What you need:A degree in Social Work or equivalentRegistered with Social Work EnglandAt least 3 years PQE direct employment within English Local AuthoritiesCompleted relevant post-qualifying trainingEnhanced DBS checkExcellent communication and written skillsWhy Work with Pertemps Social Care?
