Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving. I.e: Curtain, Amazon, general haulage. This role involves transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while adhering to all traffic regulations and company policies. A strong commitment to safety and customer service is essential.

Tramper drivers prefered as there is an element of night out when certain customer jobs demand it.

Responsibilities

  • Operate our Tractor unit to transport goods to designated locations using our own curtain trailer or the customers trailers.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance.
  • Load and unload cargo, securing it properly for transport.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs and records of vehicle maintenance using our company phone.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members.
  • Adhere to all road safety regulations and company policies during operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any client concerns professionally.

Requirements

  • Valid HGV driving licence with C+E with a minimmum of 2 years of Commercial driving experience.
  • Over the age of 30 due to insurrance policy
  • Maximum of 6 points on the licence in the last 5 years. No DD, DR.
  • Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of road safety regulations and best practices for transporting goods.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy items and securing loads.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-oriented attitude.
