Production Coordinator

Complete all SC tasks to a high standard, by constantly challenging the status quo and be at the forefront of evolution,

continuous improvement, quality and health, safety & welfare. Whist promoting Unilin's core values of openness,

integrity, adaptability, customer focus and team approach. Working rotational shfits Monday - Friday 6 -2 / 2 -10.

Key Accountabilities :

Health & Safety - To encourage a safe working environment for all employees in their area by supporting and enforcing standards as set out in the Health and Safety policy.

Quality Standards -Ensure team are performing to quality standards in terms of product quality and housekeeping.

Training & Development - Ensure that operatives are coached and trained in all aspects of their role, including health and safety and quality procedures.

Trial / Improvements - Participate in processes and production trials where required to ensure that they run successfully and support the technical department.

Continuous Improvement - Manage improvement activities including KPIs, waste management and production control processes and associated administration and record keeping.

Adherence to Production Schedule- Ensure that their team are correctly deployed and are performing to standards in adherence to the plan. Manage breaks and the shift changeover process to ensure it does not disrupt productivity and workflow.

Communication - Ensure mechanisms are in place and supported to provide effective communication including escalation.

Administration - Carry out necessary administrative tasks and ensure that systems are updated as required.

Ensuring correct and accurate data recording

Key Tasks and Duties:

• Work within the ethos and standards of the company

• Monitoring daily work. Identifying problems and working with Shift Leader to introduce solutions.

• Providing leadership and support to your team ensuring optimum team performance

• Ensuring all policies and procedures are strictly adhered to by all members of your staff.

• Day to Day supervision of production teams to ensure targets for quality/service/costs are achieved.

• Maintaining Housekeeping at a high level within the department through the involvement of all team members.

• Support a work environment of continuous improvement.

• In the absence of Shift Leader responsibility and accountability for the Production Function/Area

• Ensure all production activities are documented as required

• Monitor day to day performance and report any concerns to Shift Leader

• Assist in the development and transfer of new processes

• Deliver training programmes in order to ensure that the Company follows best practice

• Coaching, motivating, counseling and training employees

• Goals / targets to be set for each team member on a daily basis

• Communicate all relevant issues to the team

• Assist in identifying training needs in relation to Compliance, Safety, Environmental and Personal

• Assist the Shift Leader with any other production related duties that may be required.

• Undertake any other tasks appropriate to the position, as requested by management

• Undertake flexible working hours to meet deadlines
