We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Events Manager to lead the planning and execution of our public sector-focused events portfolio. This role requires a skilled professional with a deep understanding of public sector audiences, event management expertise and a data-driven approach to marketing. You will be responsible for delivering high-impact events that strengthen our brand presence, drive engagement, and support business objectives. A key element of this role is embracing AI-driven tools and strategies to optimize event planning, attendee engagement and marketing effectiveness.

This role will involve organizing and managing a diverse range of events including third-party sponsorships and hosted events across Europe/UK and Africa, requiring cultural sensitivity, regional market knowledge, and the ability to adapt strategies to different audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Event Management:

  • Execute an events strategy aligned with organizational goals and public sector trends.
  • Oversee end-to-end event planning of both third-party sponsorship and hosted events, including venue selection, logistics, speaker coordination and vendor management.
  • Secure sponsorships and partnerships to enhance event reach and impact.
  • Ensure events are executed on time, within budget and meet quality standards.
  • Identify key themes, topics and stakeholders to ensure relevance and value for public sector audiences.
  • Adapt event formats (e.g. in-person, virtual) to suit regional preferences and logistical realities.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key public sector stakeholders, including government agencies, policymakers, industry partners and event organisers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and build relationships with key stakeholders within the government segment.
  • Ensure effective communication with partners and attendees across different countries and regions.

Performance Analysis and Reporting:

  • Track event performance metrics, including lead generation, attendance, engagement, and ROI.
  • Use AI-powered analytics tools to derive actionable insights and recommendations for future events.

Experience and Education

  • 5+ years of experience in end-to-end event management, ideally with a focus on public sector or B2B audiences.
  • Knowledge of government technology trends and policy frameworks for Europe/ UK & Africa.
  • Experience working with, and building, strong stakeholder relationships and engagement strategies.
  • Experience using AI-driven platforms and tools to enhance the event management processes.
  • Bachelor's degree in Event Management, Marketing, Communications, or a related field.
  • Fluency in a European language (in addition to English) would be an advantage, though not essential.
  • Travel within Europe and Africa for on-site event management may be required, as well as occasional weekend and outside of normal business hours work.
