As Marketing and Events Manager for LGBT Great, part of Allied People Group, you will play a vital role in shaping the growth and visibility of our organisation.
You will lead on developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies that amplify LGBT Great's mission, strengthen brand awareness, and engage diverse audiences. By driving membership, fostering community, and showcasing our impact, you will directly support the strategic business objectives and long-term success of LGBT Great. You will work closely with the CEO, internal teams, member firms, partners, and external agencies in this role.

Key Responsibilities:
Strategy & Planning:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive marketing strategy aligned with LGBT Great's vision and growth objectives, in line with broader Allied People Group goals.
- Conduct market research to identify market trends, audience insights, and opportunities to position our organisation as a thought leader.
- Oversee the marketing budget, ensuring effective allocation across all programmes and channels.
- Collaborate with the sales team to support lead generation and conversion for all advertising and outreach activities.
- Drive participation and visibility for all initiatives.
Marketing & Content Management:
- Maintain brand consistency across all channels and materials to effectively communicate our mission and vision and offering.
- Manage and optimise digital presence, including website, external communications, and social media platforms.
- Lead the production of marketing collateral including blogs, social media, digital assets,
- Run and manage campaign materials including paid social media and advertising for key programmes, research launches, and flagship events.
Event Management:
- End to end management of virtual and in-person events including;
- Working with stakeholders to develop event concepts and themes.
- Creation of event microsite and registration set-up.
- Management of event timelines, logistics, attendee management.
- Post event feedback, follow-up and communications.
Measurement & Reporting:
- Analyse digital performance and audience engagement, reporting on key metrics and return on investment.
- Track, analyse, and report on marketing effectiveness, using data to recommend improvements.
- Set and monitor KPIs and return on investment for all marketing activities.
Experience and Skills:
Essential:
- Proven experience in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Creative thinker with strong project management and organisational skills.
- Ability to distil complex subject matter into accessible content for our audience.
- Positive, persuasive communicator.
- Understanding of inclusion and people issues within a business environment.
- Proficiency in digital marketing tools and analytics.
Desirable:
- Experience working with subscription and services-based business models.
- Experience using CRM/automation and design tools (e.g. HubSpot, Canva, TypeForm).
- Familiarity with AI tools such as Microsoft Co-Pilot or ChatGPT.
Remuneration: £50, Days Holiday + Private Medical, Employee Assistance Programme
Working Practices: Hybrid. 3 days in the office, two from home.
