SALARY: £83,411 - £126,390 (dependant on location)
LOCATION(S): London, Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds, Halifax
HOURS: Full-time

We play an important role to mitigate these threats whilst enabling the Consumer businesses to grow and evolve.
Against a backdrop of a changing threat environment, we must evolve our prevention, detection and response controls to ensure that we're responding to the risks of today and the evolution of the threat of tomorrow.
As a Senior Manager in our Sanctions team you will play a critical role in supporting and protecting our customers and Lloyds Banking Group whilst ensuring sustainable and compliant business growth.
We're the Second Line Economic Crime Prevention team in the Risk Division within Lloyds Banking Group, with responsibility for setting the Group's Economic Crime Prevention Policy and risk appetite to ensure that we not only meet our legal and regulatory obligations but equally that we protect our Group, our colleagues, our customers and our communities from the harm done by a person convicted of a crimes. We also act as an oversight function to partner with and to monitor Business Unit and Group Function compliance with our Policy and risk appetite.
We're looking for a Group Sanctions Policy Senior Manager to support the Group Head of Sanctions and lead a small Policy and Advisory second line team as a Sanctions subject matter expert.
Day to day, you will:
Lead and develop the Group's ECP risk appetite for Sanctions and Export Controls compliance by maintaining our Policy and Minimum Standards;
Provide timely advice and guidance to the Business Units and Group Functions to ensure compliance with sanctions legal, regulatory and policy requirements;
Assess regulatory change including performing gap analyses, communicating updates and driving risk exposure and impact assessments for LBG;
Provide independent review and analysis of the Businesses Units' management of risk, challenging areas of high inherent risk or control weakness;
Support the management of sanctions breaches and where required report to OFSI/OTSI, OFAC and the FCA;
Update and supervise Mandatory and Advanced Sanctions training modules, and input to Business Unit and Group Functions' specialised training requests;
Represent the Group and participate in industry meetings with our peers to influence the external agenda;
Support the delivery of the ECP strategy by providing policy and risk appetite insights;
Support the completion of ad-hoc projects, including responses to regulatory and Board/GEC level requests;
Support colleagues in the wider ECP team as required through the provision of sanctions subject matter expertise;
Support the development of direct reports whilst investing in own personal development; and,
Deputise, along with the Group Sanctions Senior Manager for Oversight, for the Head of Sanctions.

What you'll need:
Need to have a thorough understanding of UK, EU, US and UN sanctions regimes;
Be proficient at interpreting changes to sanctions legislation and regulations and assessing their impact on policy and risk appetite;
Be able to provide clear, succinct advice and guidance to the business to support their understanding of regulatory and Policy requirements;
Have experience in reviewing and assessing the sanctions exposure of high risk clients and transactional activity;
Have experience with the regulatory reporting requirements of the UK and drafting correspondence with regulatory bodies;
Have excellent verbal and written communication skills;
Have experience in line management/leadership positions with an open, clear communication style.
